i have a 14yo Daughter and a 16yo Son, and neither of them has been sucked in by the Gangsta/Hip Hop, or the vapid Pop music scene. My son loves the Dead, Bluegrass, Reggae Pink Floyd and other various styles of music, my daughter is into Jimi, Clash, Ramones, Zepplin and newer punk/ska music. I took them both to see Phil at the Rocks, and it was really great to be able to share a little of what it was like. It was actually interesting how many of us were there with our kids. 20 years ago, I would have never considered it a family activity. It was great to see my kids standing during the whole show and dancing to the great tunes. I am very thankful for LMA, because it has allowed me to share the great shows I was at with my kids, and turn them on to some alternatives to the current desolate pop/hip hop scene. my son loves to find new bands on LMA and turn me on to them as well. The wheel just keeps turning and it won't slow down!!!!

That is certainly positive news to my ears Purple. Gives me hope that my two little cuties may not fall into that desolate "rap trap." Must be great to have your son researching the LMA and even turning you onto his discoveries. Congrats on two musically well-rounded kids :)
